A yearly calendar puts all twelve months of 2027 on a single sheet, which is the view you need for anything longer than a few weeks: school terms, trips still to book, project phases, birthdays. PrintNook draws every month as a compact block with weekday initials and six week rows, so the months line up across the page, and hands you a PDF that prints at true size. It carries dates only, no holidays, so it works wherever you live. Choose a Monday or Sunday start, portrait or landscape, and A4, Letter, A3 or Tabloid.
What a yearly calendar is good for
The year at a glance
Mark school terms, holidays, trips and deadlines on one sheet, so clashes show up months ahead instead of the week before.
A wall or fridge calendar
Print it on A3 or Tabloid and the dates come out larger, readable from across the room. Pin it where the whole household sees it.
Counting weeks and streaks
Count the weeks to an exam or a due date, or cross off every day you kept a habit. For the daily detail, keep a habit tracker beside it.
Portrait or landscape, and when to go up to A3
Portrait stacks the months 3 across and 4 down, the classic year planner shape for a binder, a door or a fridge. Landscape turns that into 4 across and 3 down, for a desk or a wide spot on the wall. On A4 it gives each weekday column more width (8.7 mm against 7.8 mm) but each week row less height (6.4 mm against 7.3 mm), so pick it for the shape of the space rather than for writing room. If the calendar will be read from across a room, go up a sheet size instead: on A3 portrait the dates print at 13.5 pt against 8.5 pt on A4, because the whole layout is redrawn for the bigger sheet, and Tabloid (11 x 17 in) does the same for US paper. Whatever you choose, print at 100 percent and check the 50 mm calibration bar at the foot of the page.
How to plan a year on one page
A year page is for the overview, not the detail. Fill it in a few passes, from the things that cannot move to the things that can.
- Write in what is fixed. School terms, booked trips, birthdays and hard deadlines go in first, in pen. These are the dates everything else has to fit around.
- Block out the big pieces. Shade or bracket the weeks that belong to a project, an exam period or a busy season, so the shape of the year is visible at a glance.
- Keep the detail elsewhere. Appointments and daily tasks belong on a dated monthly calendar or a weekly planner. The year page only needs to show that something is happening.
- Review it once a month. At the start of each month, cross off the one that ended, look three months ahead and copy anything due into that month's calendar.
Printing tips
- Check the scale with the calibration bar at the foot of the page: the metric scale should measure exactly 50 mm and the inch scale exactly 2 in.
- Print on A3 or Tabloid (11 x 17 in) only if your printer takes that paper; otherwise pick A4 or Letter rather than letting the printer shrink a larger page to fit.
- Set the start day to match the calendars you already use. A Monday start next to a Sunday-start wall calendar is the easiest way to misread a date.
Print at 100 percent. Turn off Fit to page in your print dialog so the layout keeps its true measurements. See our print settings guide for the full checklist, or A4 versus Letter if you are unsure which size to pick.
Frequently asked questions
What day of the week does 2027 start on?
2027 starts on a Friday (1 January) and ends on a Friday (31 December). It is not a leap year: it has 365 days and February has 28.
Can I print a 2028 calendar or another year?
Yes. The calendar opens on 2027, but you can set any year from 1900 to 2100 before you download, and the dates, leap years and starting weekdays follow.
Does the yearly calendar include holidays?
No. It prints dates only, because public and school holidays differ by country and region, and a printed assumption about them ages badly. Write in the ones that matter to you.
How do I print a yearly calendar on one page?
Download the PDF and print it at 100 percent scale on the paper size you picked, with Fit to page turned off. All twelve months are drawn inside the page margins, so nothing has to be shrunk to fit.
Can the week start on Sunday?
Yes. Choose Monday or Sunday before you download and every month block reorders its weekday initials and shifts its dates to match. The default follows the region your browser reports.
Can I print it on A3 or 11 x 17 for the wall?
Yes. The yearly calendar also prints on A3 and on Tabloid (11 x 17 in), redrawn for the larger sheet rather than scaled up, so the dates come out bigger while the margins stay at 15 mm.
Free to print for a classroom or an office?
Yes, for anything. The PDFs are free for personal, classroom and commercial use, with no attribution required and no watermark anywhere on the page.
